Tissue Remedies

Homeopathic Tissue Remedies use Tissue Salts, which are sometimes called Cell Salts. These books explain the use of Biochemic Tissue Salts first considered through provings by the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, of Lime, Salt, Potash and Silica. However, it was not until the late 1880s that this system was developed by a German doctor, Dr Wilhelm Heinrich Schüssler.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

How do tissue or cell salt remedies work?

Schüssler, whose work was heavily influenced by Hahnemann's work onhomeopathy, proposed that when a human cell is reduced to ashes, that there are only 12 minerals left. Taking the homeopathic theory of the minimum dose into account, he reasoned that a lack of these inorganic minerals in a living organism will prevent organic materials from entering the cells. This, in turn, stops the cells from performing their natural functions.

By taking these twelve minerals (for example Calc Fluor) in homeopathic doses, they would support and regulate individual cell function. With only twelve remedies to choose from, tissue salts are very easy to self-prescribe without the input of a qualified homeopath.
